Understanding Computer Hardware need not be our life's ambition. Most of us have better things to worry about!A lot of people get quite anxious because they do not understand how their computer works. And yet they will happily drive their car without any appreciation of what happens under the bonnet! In the old days computers were difficult to use. A certain amount of technical skill was needed in order to make them function. But with the increasing processing power and the development of software that is user friendly and intuitive to use, the need for technical understanding has become less important. Have you noticed also that there are very few technical people who seem to be able to explain in simple language what they do let alone how a computer works! Unless you have a particular interest in how computers work, our advice would be to be grateful that they do work and to be relaxed that we do not understand everything about them. This will not prevent us from using them to their full capacity! Please do not feel in any way daunted by your computer. Simply enjoy using it!
